LIVERPOOL CITY REGION
DEMENTIA SYMPOSIUM
The Symposium took place at Liverpool Town Hall on 21st May 2025, bringing together Adult Services Directors from the 6 Liverpool City Region authorities to share their strategies and plans for dementia services.
The lead address was given by LCR Metro Mayor Steve Rotheram. Other speakers included representatives of Alzheimer's Society, TIDE (carers' support organisation) and special guest Roy Foden who is living with Lewy Bodies Dementia and Parkinson's Disease.
The event achieved its aim of attracting nearly 120 registered attendees and was organised by local charity Dementia Liverpool in partnership with LCR Metro Mayor's Office, with assistance from Liverpool City Council and Alzheimer's Society.
