Liverpool City Council - Carer Support - provides pointers to sources of support
LCC - Short breaks - to give looked-after people and their carers time away from their usual routine,accessed via a carer's assessment.
My Time - Liverpool-based, run by Local Solutions, offering a range of opportunities including overnight stays, theatre trips, afternoon teas and leisure activities
Me2U Dementia Day Care Centre - offering care and respite services in Kirkby.
Age Concern Liverpool and Sefton, Poppy Centre - Liverpool-based nurse-led day care service providing support and stimulating activities for people over 50 living with dementia and respite for carers.
Age UK Wirral, Early Onset Dementia - for people under 65 with dementia, bespoke care and support packages at home, in the community or within the Bradbury Wing at the Devonshire Resource Centre.
Always Active day centre, West Kirby - activities and entertainments for people with dementia and other age-related conditions.
Chinese Wellbeing - support network for people living with dementia and family carers, with activities including, Memory Box sessions, Tea House Reminiscence and Dementia Champion services.
Sight and Mind (Dementia and sensory impairment support) - providers of training, consultancy, support and activity sessions in connection with dementia and/or sensory impairment. Based in Kirkby.
Knowsley Admiral Nurse Service with 5 Borough Partnership - specialist 1-to-1 support and advice for people with dementia from Dementia UK, working with families to help them live more positively with dementia in Knowsley.
Royal British Legion Liverpool, Admiral Nurse Service - working with Dementia UK to provide Admiral Nurses to maintain independence and improve the quality of life for carers and families and to provide the practical advice they need. Legion beneficiaries can be either the person with dementia or the carer.
Local Solutions - Activities for Carers - a comprehensive range of activities to socialise, keep fit and meet other carers in Liverpool.
Sedgemoor Care Hub - offers specialist support to people who are living with dementia including short-term residential care for re-ablement and respite and also a day service. The building includes a 4D screening room to support memory work as well as a sensory garden. Run by Liverpool City Council.
Tide - Together In Dementia Everyday, a UK network of carers, former carers, health and care professionals working together to build a better future for carers of people with dementia.
Trio - a model of support with one carer and two service users allowing more opportunities to meet others with similar interests and make friends.The service is run by PSS and provided by trained Adult Placement Carers so that carers can receive a valuable break from their caring role and users of the service can be supported to remain independent.

Liverpool Cares seeks to address the blight of disconnection in our connected age by harnessing the people and places around us for the benefit of all. Our objectives are to:
Shared Lives - is a form of care where people who need a little extra help with the everyday stuff – like getting to the shops, cooking dinner or ironing – go and live with a specially recruited and trained Shared Lives carer and their family, or stay with them for the day, getting as much or as little support as they need; giving them the time, space and choice to live their life like you they want to live it. Shared Lives is run locally by PSS.
