Liverpool Dementia Action Alliance (LDAA) is one of the country's foremost groups working to help people with dementia to live well.
LDAA currently has over 90 member organisations, including statutory and voluntary care and health agencies, housing and education bodies, faith communities, arts and cultural enterprises and commercial businesses.
LDAA and its members have been making great strides in promoting public awareness about dementia through a range of projects, from engaging with shops and businesses , working with transport agencies and providers, promoting dementia-friendly design and homes.

Faiths and Dementia - a major conference coming soon
Plans are under way for a major conference in Liverpool to look at how faith communities respond to the challenges of dementia for their members and wider society. Representatives are being sought from all faiths to take part in a small steering group to help design the event to be as inclusive, diverse and informative as possible. SURF, the Service Users Reference Forum is a key part of Liverpool DAA and an important group in itself.
They are a gathering of local people living with dementia and family carers who speak up for those affected by the condition, running campaigns, organising events and activities, promoting mutual support and having fun.
