Here are the main publicly run or regulated bodies that provide services for people living with dementia and family carers.

Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust

The Mersey Care Dementia Resource Centre provides specialist assessment, medication, and post diagnostic support to people with dementia and their families, for people living in Central and South Liverpool and parts of North Liverpool. Details of Dementia Services can be found here.

Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust - Clock View Hospital

Purpose built short stay hospital for local people with a range of mental health issues including dementia,  designed to improve the experience of patients by providing a therapeutic environment combined with patient-centred care to improve recovery, wellbeing and reduce lengths of stay. Liverpool Clinical Commissioning Group

NHS Liverpool Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is responsible for planning and buying most NHS services for the people of Liverpool, including the care you receive at hospitals and in community clinics. Since April 2015 Liverpool CCG have also had responsibility for GP services in Liverpool.

Wirral Community NHS Foundation Trust

From nursing to physiotherapy through to urgent care and livewell services to support you to quit smoking, lose weight and improve wellbeing - Wirral Community NHS Trust provides a wide range of community based health services to manage and prevent ill health. South Sefton CCG and Southport and Formby CCG

The CCGs are jointly working towards becoming dementia friendly in conjunction with Sefton DAA, see here.

Liverpool
Services for people with dementia and family carers are on the Adult Social Care page here.
The Council also offers advice and support with home heating through their Healthy Homes Programme
and with funeral costs through their Community Funeral service.

Dementia Action Liverpool is a not-for-profit company set up and governed by Liverpool Dementia Action Alliance working within the Liverpool City Region to promote dementia friendly communities, helping people with dementia to live well and supporting all those affected by dementia.
