Faiths and Dementia ‘23 will explore questions and answers relating to
- what is dementia?
- how does living with dementia relate to faith?
- how can places of worship be dementia-friendly?
- how can faith communities best support their members who are affected by dementia?
- how can family carers be supported within their faith communities?
- what can we learn from each other’s experiences?
The conference will include talks by leaders from a range of Liverpool region’s faith
communities including speakers with personal experience of giving and receiving support.
Small discussion sessions will provide opportunities for sharing problems and successes. Advice and information about dementia and support will be available from service providers’ exhibition stalls. And there will be chances to visit the acclaimed House Of
Memories On The Road interactive exhibition and to take part in an Alzheimer's Society Dementia Friends information session.
If you are involved in leading or managing within a faith community - or you are working in health, social care or housing services - then Faiths and Dementia ‘23 will be valuable to you to expand your knowledge and skills.
Featuring multi-faith speakers and dementia experts providing helpful lessons for all involved in leading faith communities and managing places of worship and devotion.
